Superb opening montage - and I'd love to see The Road To Coronation Street - reshow it ITV. Lynda Barron looked brilliant as Ena.

Rather sad my favourite secret guilty pleasure Mrs Brown's Boys didn't win.

Also sad to see several "gone but not forgotten" names I didn't know had left us. I wonder if, when I pop my clogs, BAFTA will remember me. Or Gary Glitter. No Kathy Kirby mentioned I noticed.

Actually doesn't it make you realize - UK TV is on really good form?

I had a really lovely letter from Trevor McDonald (a fellow Talk Radio star) when the nastiness erupted; good luck to him, a worthy winner.

Why no clip of "The killing" winning an award?
