For anyone interested in what really lies behind the situation in Greece and other countries, and the real reasons behind all this 'deficit' and 'debt' mallarky, I strongly recommend 'Debtocracy' (link below) an independent documentary made in Greece. It shows the IMF in an appalling light (no surprise there really).

The way the IMF works to get countries to transfer debts from the banks onto the public purse is not only happening in Greece... think closer to home, anyone?

I'l start a new thread about the film tomorrow in case it gets lost in this thread, but for anyone who wants to watch it, the link is below. (The English subtitles are easy to follow and many of those interviewed are speaking in English anyway)

I believe bankruptcy should be encouraged in Greece and then much of the Third World can also declare themselves bankrupt.

The rich nations (us) keep these nations in poverty by holding them to debt they cannot pay-it's a form of slavery.

Do what those who run corporations do..and start from scratch.

It's all an illusion anyway.
