Injustice - ITV 12 Years, 11 Months ago
Rather good so far but it does make me wonder - are we over doing the police/social justice system TV shows?
Seems there's a new one every night.

Interesting - the barrister says the police planted the medal in the suspect's pocket and he's acquitted.
In my trial, we proved a photo produced by a man I'd never met was taken nearly 3 years after he said I'd given it to him.

Yet my barrister refused to say the police themselves (who had taken several copies when they searched my house) might have given it to him. "The Judge will come down on us like a ton of bricks unless we have proof", he said. "But the Judge will point this out in his summing up".

He didn't. He just changed the dates to 3 years later.

why do we love them so much ?

I'm watching a boxed set of Rosemary & Thyme which I'm loving even thought they are rather silly.

Imagine-2 gardeners who keep getting prestige jobs in large country estates yet everywhere they go someone is murdered !

the matter of your photo is so similar to my former lawyer who won a libel case on similar evidence.

he was accused of the same you were by a TV show. It all rested on the decor of his bedroom. He was able to prove that the room had been decorated 3 years after the guy claimed he was in it..making the guy 18 not 15 as claimed.

Got the largest ever payout- $6M in damages. His teeth fell out and he died of cancer 12 months later.

Well the good news is I don't think I've got cancer. The bad news is my teeth ARE falling out (only tiny bits mind you); I lost the case and I'm a milliuon down and still fighting.
As you may know, the latest is that I have evidence I was on another continent (America) at the time of one of my convictions for a crime in London. It quite simply cannot have happened. This is being refused on the grounds that "it's not when but whether that matters" - totally ignoring the fact that this absurd law makes ONE MINUTE a crime - 15 (7 years); 16 (legal).

Part Two - has he been set up in the murder of the (very attractive but very annoying) Irish girl?

Intrigued.

It's quite good but very predictable so far.

Those shows are okay for entertainment as long as they aren't taken seriously. Personally I don't watch them except on a rare occasion. They don't appeal to me.

What worries me is people with lesser intelligence watching these shows and thinking this is how the law really works. Then it becomes dangerous propaganda.

The difficult third episode - just like the difficult second album; and it really wasn't very good. Let's hope it is better tomorrow and Friday.

Episode 4 - improved; still some really stupid moments (like the obligatory cutaways of the boy who's not there and his empty seat) but some good moments.

Is anyone watching "The Shadow Line" on BBC 2?

It started very, very slow (and confusing) but after the third episode it became really good.

It's still quite confusing, but there is a lot of action now, and the story develops in totally unpredictable ways. The best bit: The police men are at least as corrupt as the gangsters.

All episodes are still available on the BBC iPlayer:

How annoying of you to mention it DJ (because you were so right - and first - about The Killing); I've been wondering whether I should have caught it and now I must and there's an awful lot to catch up. I may wait and buy the DVD pack (having said that, my friend gave me The Wire Box Set for Christmas ages ago and I still haven't started - it's SUCH a marathon!).

Episode 5 - nice unresolved twist at the end; enjoyed it (though saw it coming). Liked the fact that the "baddie"was a great cop with serious character flaws - ditto the "goodie".
