Yes this has been covered in another thread Ted - to reactions of universal horror. And I predicted and warned this would happen eleven years ago when it happened to me. I couldn't believe that random false allegations could lead to a seven year prison sentence without a shred of evidence.

even if the sex part is true it is an apalling perversion of the law.

When you think that common assault has a statutory 6 month time limit.

And yet 15 year olds don't know what they are doing when they have sex and are so innocent and impressionable that they need to be protected from sexy MTV videos and the like. What on Earth is the point of punishing this man for what he did when he was a child, and so long ago?

Unfortunately, I fear that nothing will change until people understand and learn to combat the unholy trinity that is driving forward this hysteria - the media, big government, and feminism (o.k., a perverted kind of feminism if you like, but feminism nonetheless).

I almost feel like visiting a powerful witch doctor and asking them to put a curse on any judges, police, politicians and CPS staff who ever had a "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" moment in their childhood - that they should experience a life changing media sex drama in the courts within the next few months.

I can't see why the TV station hasn't been charged with broadcasting child abuse images..underneath the pixelled image the lad's private parts are still visible..just because we don't see them doesn't mean it isn't a child abuse video.

Actually Blacklit these girls may very well face serious charges and have their lives stuffed up when all the really need is good telling off.

But the mother will convince the boy his life is ruined when it's just a moment of embarrassment that he could easily get over.

The world really is spinning out of control and it won't end until there are laws governing whether we can actually step outside our doors and what we do at home every minute of the day.

I can't follow any of this..I was nearly murdered once and finally got over after about a year,
Didn't even get compo either.

The guy commited the offence as a child but has been sentenced like he commited the offences as an adult.

I think life on the sex offenders register is soon going to become the norm for men if this case is anything to go by.

I agree Veritas...apart from the idea that the girls will face serious charges - LOL!

There are a number of idiots in the growing men's rights movement who think that equal insanity = justice. That so long as women and girls face the same crazy hysteria and sentancing as men and boys do with regard to sex cases, then this is enough for justice. Absolute rubbish.
