"Me Me Me" Reviews Thread 12 Years, 10 Months ago
How about a thread for posters' reviews of the film.

Watched it last night; hilarious. An amusing satire on the media stategy of building up celebrities to then knock them down along with attitudes towards age, crime and sexuality. It was obviously made on a shoestring budget and some of the acting in it is a tad wooden however overall its one of the best things you've done. I'd say that with a bit of tweaking and embellishment it could be done as a stage production. The reveal of what exactly the last baby painting was had me laughing out loud and I'm surprised that the tabloids arn't raging at it, though I'd guess Waxy Maxi has advised them to give you no publicity at all. The songs are oddly infectious , especially the Johnny Bambino 'hits' although there seems to be one available on Youtube thats been chopped from the film (Portobello Road) for some reason, I presume because its a cover of an old Cat Stevens song and his current 'circumstances' mean that he doesn't approve. I enjoyed little touches like the posters in the Moon's office about someone called Clifford (whoever he is) and an unamed footballer. Perhaps the footballer took out a super-injunction. The dark haired youth playing the lead was excellent and my favourite part was the mad OTT rap song. Great stuff.

No; Portobello Road was never in the movie (all copyrights had to be mine so we can give full clearance to anyone wanting to do a stage version) but I wanted Jay Fratello to have a solo number available on iTunes and Rupert was so good - so that's it!

A stage version...I did say that here:

Many years ago I turned down a date with a very attractive lady to see Jerry Springer: The Musical. This could easily be better than that!
