Good manners are the foundation of civilisation and besides it's getting boring.

On the one hand- I agree with you JK and hopefully think I haven't been guilty of it myself.

However....

On the other hand- there is a lack of moderation on this site. It's is a great thing that we have great freedom of expression here... but....

A couple of posters over recent years have been allowed to repeatedly write outrageous things offending lots of people and apparently that's ok.

But when people attack them back, that's somehow not ok.

That's not ok.

Well here's a thing. In my last posting to KoH I put up a strong argument against ITK's persistently anti-Semitic propaganda. The posting was described by you, JK, as "madness". ITK has insulted just about every one of the "older" posters here without any word of protest from yourself. For instance my I remind you who it was who called David a workshy scrounger?
That you have never so much as given a hint that you expect the same civilised level of debate than you lay down for everyone else should serve as a salutary reminder to you to apply standards consistently. It's clear, however, that you haven't done so this far and perhaps you never will. I used to love this board. However the hypocrisy that you like to highlight elsewhere in society has become a regular and seemingly permanent feature of King Of Hits too. So much as clear to me whenever it was you made that one-sided "madness" remark about my posting.. And now, it seems, other people are beginning to notice it too.
I'll now shrink back into the darkness, more or less secure in the belief that this posting will never see the light of day.

I quite agree. I'm sure the leader of HM's Opposition wouldn't like to be called millipede to his face. Can we have a purge and remove all posts of this nature forthwith please?

What is clear from the overnight posting is that even if it has the rules are to be applied differently;
One rule for ITK, whose "constant repetitive boring personal insults" directed at the unemployed {"scroungers"}, the infirm {"scroungers"}, students {"scroungers"} anyone with leftist political leanings {"Commies"} and Jews {"Oh God - not another JB defender! Perhaps if they had NOT been condemned more times by the UN than ANY OTHER COUNTRY and perhaps if they had not been kicked out of almost everywhere on Earth at some time or other, you might just have a point !"}, a multitude of other posters {"thickies"... "PS - I'd love to see the IQ of those who criticise me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!} are to be treated with respect, and another for anyone who posits any other viewpoint and applies the same kind of language as ITK in doing so.
You might not "object" to different opinions, but plainly you have an indistinct concept of what is and isn't objectionable. You certainly appear to apply whatever rules you have in a pretty discriminatory way.
But this is, after all, your board. And you have the right to allow proto Nazis to post whatever extreme right wing views they happen to hold without any kind of censorship - or criticism - whatsoever. Just as you have the right to ask those ITK has repeatedly insulted not to insult him/her back.
You're not being fair. But, again, that is your right. Just don't ask us to believe you're just being "civilised". ITK has demonstrated very ably in the past that his/her own "civilisation" has no place for those he/she classes as thickies, commies, scroungers and Jews.

Incidentally since this post was intended as a request and not an excuse for further personal attacks (cunningly - or not so cunningly - disguised) I hereby announce this thread CLOSED!

My last word on this subject then. It will be noted that you have never criticised ITK for any such personal attacks, despite the fact that they have been manifold and have driven many from this board. I employ no cunning, and my words were criticism, not personal attack. Like Antony, I only speak right on. And what is clear to me is that ITK has had it coming for a long long time.
