No doubt he'll be out soon arresting people and destroying their lives and losing their jobs, whilst he has killed another human being and yet keeps his job!

We all make mistakes Steve, there's no sign of anything malicious here, just bad driving. There but for the grace of god could go any one of us.
Let's deal with the many dishonest bobbies, not the accident prone.

The Chief Constable of North Yorks police was found "guilty" by an inquiry of "serious misconduct" (in getting his relatives well paid jobs with the force) but still managed to keep his job !

Some example.

The problem is, all of us make mistakes, however some of those mistakes will stop us from getting jobs in areas such as the Police, ironically.

The Police should be above all reproach. How can they be taken seriously as 'crime stoppers' if they have criminals in their midsts?

Can you imagine if a Police Officer was killed in a similar way to the gentleman in this story? The "Police Killer" would be doing time, accident or no accident. This Inspector has got away with it because of what he is, and who he is, yet we are all supposed to be equal in front of the law. The Police obviously are not.

a terrible accident and but should the copper or anyone for that matter lose their career because of it?

however cops shouldn't be judging other cops.
