The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi.

The court had accused him of crimes against humanity and of ordering attacks on civilians after an uprising against him began in mid-February.

The government always planned a six month campaign (and the "costs" announced last week were for the entire six months).

Have you not noticed the new government (in Libya) is now only 30 miles from Tripoli ?

But I'm glad that we did this properly, and avoided unneccesary civilian deaths (the Yanks would have just blown the place apart). Aren't you pleased also?

it seems JK is right and Gaddafi has far more support amongst his people than anticipated.

and why hasn't the ICC issued arrest warrants for those who illegally invaded Iraq ?..you know the way those who invaded Poland in '39 were strung up for doing ?

Why hasn't Robert Mugabe ever been issued with an arrest warrant and these charges? His "crimes against humanity" strech back miles, as well as crimes against the Wests Mighty "democracy".

The main question is when will it end...? A day in fear of your life is more than long enough,100 days is a disgrace,especially when NATO is regularly breaking the UN resolution,hence stopping any chance of future,more productive intervention elsewhere.

CNN seem to have changed from their "Must never say anything positive about to Gaddafi" view. The massive pro-Gaddafi rally in Libya seems to have shocked them.

Angel, would you have preferred us to go all-guns-blazing and killing many, many innocents to bring Gaddafi's demise sooner, or did we do the right thing by taking a little more care ?

and its not suprising that a few (the clear minority) show outward "support" for Gaddafi (fearing a visit from the henchmen), is it ?

If he had majority support he would not be entrenched in his little enclave with the freedom fighters now only 30 miles away in the Berber hills (already controlling 95% of the country).
