Getting a little tired of all this Murdoch praising. He's an odious little man and a blatant liar. Hope he gets worse to follow.

Let's see: he said it was his most humble day, but other people were to blame, and he didn't know most of what happened anyway, didn't pay much attention, didn't expect to be informed and will carry on as before. Thanks for that, Uriah Heep. Ever so 'umble. Interesting, though, that he kept saying 'we' and 'us' when referring to the British - how very sweet of him.

As for James: does anyone ever know what he's talking about? It's like listening to a vacuum cleaner.

odd performance..between appearing to be a bit senile to being right on the ball. James irritatingly prevaricating but in the end..not saying much at all.

The committee weren't that hot but some nuggets were uncovered but I reckon the Murdoch's appearance will eventually be held against them as more stunning revelations come.

James Murdoch was obviously concerned that Murdoch snr would say something he regretted later him and kept interrupting him. Apart from the pie incident I seem to remember the odd way that he grabbed his dad's hand to stop him from constantly slapping the table and gesticulating.
I was amused at the way Phillip Davies sat slumped in his chair for most of the preceedings lolling his head around like a bored child. He even started packing up towards the end as if he had to make a swift exit!

Brooks is a monster. At least the two Murdochs looked a bit sheepish from time to time, whereas Brooks was always icily self-assured. The problem is the committee is just not up to rigorous questioning. Only Watson rattled their cages.

I'm trying to fathom who is coming out as the biggest snake in all of this...this afternoon it's Cameron...regretting this and regretting that...I had such hopes for him too but he's turning out to be a terrible weasel.

The champagne is still on ice, but what a year it would be if News International and Westminster were in ruins by Christmas!

The revolution was a little easier bringing about than I ever anticipated...with each passing moment another nail is being hammered in.

Although I hope he doesn't take the rap for his own father's misdeeds and serial lying.

I still argue the Murdoch's should come clean. Admit they knew about the hacking...take the rap...their company shut down...and then everyone can move on toward a much better regulated press instead of the abominations we've had to put up with over the last forty odd years.

The Murdoch name is in ruins...and I for one am celebrating that fact.

But we need the truth.
