We all know the Tommy Sheridan/Andy Coulson story is virtually completed; it simply needs Coulson to be indicted and the appeal granted.

But the Gary Glitter story is just waiting for a journo to find the policeman or official in Vietnam who will sell his true story - that the News of the World paid the authorities and the witnesses to get Glitter convicted. Possibly through a middle man like a corrupt journalist or PR person.

Then the charge against News International of paying a foreign official kicks in and American Law starts firing.

I suspect that may be the development to emerge before the UK police investigation unearths UK corruption.

If I was that middle man I'd be busily trying to remove all evidence from my website.

a thousand quid in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia would get everyone singing like a canary including top coppers.

Few foreigners including many ex-pats in any of these countries are unable to accept the concept of 'bribery' which has a whole difference in thinking by the locals.

Another scandal involving the bribery of foreign officials is the case of the science fiction writer Arthur C.Clark in Sri Lanka which back-fired spectacularly as the British media under-estimated that Clarke was almost revered there.

There is also the case of the very popular British TV host holidaying in Sri Lanka whose career was destroyed by media lies.

(ps : message to The Met-if you need to contact the young men who were paid by British media to tell lies about Arthur C.Clarke I can tell you where they are located. They aren't happy possums as The Mirror & The NotW dumped them in it)

(pps a British journo mentioned previously who is based in Bangkok has miraculously scrubbed the News of The World banner from his website in true Street of Shame fashion and written a tale of how he once worked for the late tabloid and was horrified ( ) by it so left.
I cannot seem to find all the references and tales he carried on his site of the stories he sold the NoTW over the past few years (including GG)..perhaps a hacker removed it all! )
