Oxford now on some high alert. NHS non-emergency staff have all been sent home. Shops locking up stock. Nothing really happenned though, a car fire in one corner, a small firebomb at McDonalds in another.

They've had their opportunity - and wasted it - to spend any further money on them will be further waste.

I saw one woman (in Birmingham) say (typically loony left-wing) that the problem was that many (young black) men had left school at 16 and now in their late 20s had never worked.

Just what kind of work do you think they are capable of ?
Would YOU pay them ?

And ... if they haven't worked from age 16 to late 20s, what have they been doing (to improve their prospects)?
They could have done FOUR University courses in that time (when universities were free !) - and got FOUR degrees !

Idleness begets idleness.

No grievance? No causes or explanations beyond saying these rioters are just natural born trouble makers? Well if that's your only explanation, no wonder you didn't see this thing coming.

Poverty is inherent to the structure of the economic system. Capitalism cannot provide for everyone. Even if everyone had top education, there would still be competition for jobs. Do you understand that?
