Nobody doubted that the "rebels" backed by the air power and bombing facilities of the entire West would enable "regime change".
The questions are... should they have? And should we have contributed to it?
And will Gaddafi's replacement (judging by the length of time he's survived - a damn efficient leader) be any better? I'd bet - 100% no; here comes radical militant religious bigotry.

For any leader to survive there he'll need to be as strong and ruthless as Gadaffi!
