It is empty. Gaddafi, his sons, the key personnel were gone. A few token bods were left to be found by the rebels. Gaddafi knew that it would be targeted by NATO so we was well away. NATO knew the rebels needed a lift to raised their spirits. It is not over yet.

And now - as a passing unimportant comment - we hear that Gaddafi supporters still have most of the TV and radio stations under control; it really is a one sided report we get from the Stalinist media here in the UK, isn't it?

This is interesting.
The BBC say that journalists are trapped in the Rixos hotel by pro-Gaddafi forces, but Chinese TV CCTN9 say that they are trapped in the hotel by rebels. More confusion?

The BBC correspondent (Matthew ?) said on the news tonight that an area no more than 200 sq metres (around Rixos hotel) was held by Gaddafis henchmen.
