ITK I don't see sycophants here. We actually have a wide range of opinions on here and have quite healthy discussions. For instance, IA and I have seemingly quite different views on immigration, but we air those views and don't get personal, and don't try to twist what someone said into what they didn't just to score points.

How about dropping all this and just engaging in debate? There are some great posters here and I don't agree with some of their viewpoints, but they set out their stalls well and (most) people treat each other with respect. That's not being a sycophant.

Well said David,unfortunately ITK has been given ample chances to join in,but if your character is of a certain disposition then however hard you try it can be impossible to make friends.

I see on the news (?) that 'rebel' troops are massing near Ghadaffi's home area ready to launch an all out assault.

If the locals resist (now the 'rebels' claim to be the legitimate government)..are they now 'rebels'?

if so..why would those rebels be any different from yesterday's rebels ?

The different is that Rebels(A) are supported by NATO in their campaign drive out the Rebels( from Libya, until such time that Rebels(A) decide they have had enough of NATO and want to re-take control of their country - at which time NATO will decide that Rebels( were not as bad after all, and that Rebels(A) were always the real Rebels.

(Gosh!! That sounds like Afghanistan!).
