Hurricane Irene 12 Years, 8 Months ago  
My Uncle in New York says that the hurricane is now hitting the city. Downtown New York is like a ghost town. He was going to try to see it through but it has decided to follow the Mayor's advice and moved to a friend's house for the duration.

Any else got family or friends in New York?

several..but my best friend slept through 9/11 even though he's downtown.

There have been massive blizzard's in NY before that have cleared the streets..I've been in one.
