TOPIC: Our "brave" soldiers
#73636
Our "brave" soldiers 12 Years, 8 Months ago
Anyone else agree that the rubbish talked about our brave boys is media and government crap. The reason most kids become soldiers is so they can kill people legally. I can almost hear our "brave NATO fighters" saying "it's not over yet. We need to kill and bomb and maim more Libyans please. It's why we signed up. Boy toys! If we MUST leave Libya, can we please kill Syrians? And after that, Algeria (giving refuge to Gaddafi - surely that's enough reason to kill Algerians)? And then anyone else. Democracy! Bring other nations a regime which entitles kids to kill people. It's fun! Forget computer games. This is the real thing!".

What do you expect from a generation raised on video games and television and deprived of physical touch? A bunch of socially awkward serial killers.

I had a massive row with my Dad about this when they say things like 'He was a father a of 2 young children' then they should of got paid out the Army.

About 3 years ago and I spoke to couple of lads in a pub all they did was glamorize in what they did and who they killed especially children no more than 8 years old with evil grins on their faces like it was a natural thing to do.

Remembrance day is a joke as I said only WW1 and WW2 vets should be remembered as they allot of them were forced to join by the government but all these young soldiers deserve what they get when they join no need to fight a war that cannot be won.
I hate the media who treat them as heroes young American Vietnam vets were rapists and killed innocent civilians for fun but who knows what they doing to poor innocents the news coverage is all fake no journalist will be able to get that close to the action just like the Pathe clips.

Digressing slightly ....

Its the final day for Wootton Basset and their weird publicity seeking "tributes" to the fallen.

The media always talk of "entire village turns out" etc yet whenever there are TV pics there are never more than a few dozen people, and when that includes the professional nutters (those on the left with their uniforms / banners), and the families of the actual fallen there can be very few real villagers taking part !

I find it bizarre in Oz when they march religiously every 'Anzac day' which celebrates the greatest disaster the country ever had when they attacked the innocent Turks in WW1 and got sent in as canon fodder by incompetent British generals ( as Rupert Murdoch said and almost wept during his testimoney recently) and were slaughtered in the thousands.

Even stranger is the Turks are so hospitable to people who set out to kill them.
