Seems so: James Bolam has announced he's quitting the show.

An interesting character, Bolam - a bit of a loner, but talented. I wish he'd done more Likely Lads but of course he had/still has a feud with Rodney Bewes. As for New Tricks, I think they should try to recruit someone like Nicholas Ball or Paul Nicholas.
