I hate Watchdog. So I get really annoyed with myself when I end up watching it! Which I did last night. It really sensationalising or trivialises every story. I actually felt very slightly sorry for Sam the plumber. He DID actually quote his fee at over £100 per half hour, so what do you expect? The same with the Comet story. Comet are already struggling. (They are for sale currently, and it has been reported that there are two interested parties, but they want OVER £100million to take Comet on. (I.e. Kesa, Comet’s owners pay the buyer - a bit like when Virgin Retail was sold to its management). But surely you look what you’re buying when you purchase an extended warranty, and only an idiot would expect it to cover every eventuality. (Didn’t Dixons Group once claim that over half of their entire profit was due to selling extended warranties, as opposed to selling actual goods?).

The one story that WAS of interest was that Bachelor’s have removed a sachet of soup from its boxes of Cup-a-soup. I have one of those most lunchtimes!
