What an extraordinary achievement to have swum the length of the Thames. It would be so easy for him to sit back and just do the odd charity gig rather than put himself through these difficult challenges. Incredible achievement. Yes indeed a wonderful achievement!
The after diner bit,if he can make a few bob in that field then he surely has earned the right the hard way

Think you issed my point slightly, IA - I didn't mean as a speaker on the after dinner circuit ... I meant as a guest at a private dinner party.

What other "interesting" guests would you invite?
I think a good dinner should have a mix of people - some you agree with and some you don't. It provokes interesting debate !
