I came back from Europe thinking that, since past Septembers had often been glorious, we'd have another Indian Summer in Britain this September; so far; ooops. But with luck the final week may yet see warmth, sunshine and baby car with roof off!
I gather that the unseasonably warm weather is being drawn all the way from North Africa ... its obviously the Libyans paying us back for the help we gave them !

As always, I backed the side that WON !(long before they won !!)
PS - I dont like Camels, nearest thing remaining to a dinosaur ?
Actually I thought birds were the nearest....especially George Seagull, the rogue who sneaks into my local paper shop in Margate and steals salt n vinegar crisps....he also likes to sh!t on the unwary
Having just got back from Rome I'm rather grateful for the soft landing {weather-wise, that is... I suspect our pilot was Arthur off Cabin Pressure..}. It makes a weeks' worth of laundry that much easier to get through!
Really lovely in the Midlands - as it was at 7 am this morning whilst I walked to work in shirt-sleeves. Not such a warm start to the day in Cumbria, but nice now apprently.
Is this sunny spell going to last through the weekend?
Stunning bright sunlight and absolutely clear blue sky in West London today, with everyone on Queensway smiling broadly and the air smelling soooo sweet.
Been out walking again today ... the strange fusion of summer heat and the stunning colours of autumn make an intoxicating mix. I wonder if the trees will be confused and start retracting on their autumn turn ?
