My brother and I, and some friends, are still debating Dr Who. We think that the best thing to do is obliterate this series from time - pretend it never happened - and just look forward to the Christmas special which can't possibly be worse.

My take: River and Amy saved the Doctor from dying, hence destroying time because the Doctor's death was a fixed point. The Doctor managed to get the robotic clone to take his place, putting back history and saving the universe. The universe now believe the Doctor is dead (a brilliant thing for Moff to do, brings mystery back to the character) but River Song has to take her punishment for killing the robotic duplicate.

The mini robotic "clone" thing worked better in the Meet Dave movie.
I still don't get the Riversong scenario. She is the daughter of two normal humans but she has the power to regenerate ..? To all smacks of a "make it up as we go along" kind of thing.
