Of course, the not so subtle question being asked by all the media, from salacious tabloid to high minded broadsheet, is the homophobic one. Is this Adam Werritty the boyfriend of Liam Fox (those lovely old "former flat mate" comments)? Is this a gay relationship? Oh they haven't changed in all these decades, have they?

And the question is simply - will David Cameron bow to media pressure ("it's a great story") and fire Dr Fox or allow him to continue in his job? Nowhere does it matter whether Fox is good or bad at his job; gay or straight; foolish or wise... simply - what does the media want today?
