My Great Aunt died this morning. She had made her breakfast and poured herself a cup of tea, and then just died. The district nurse found her sitting upright in the chair as though her battery had just given up. My mother says that my Great Aunt would have preferred it that way. She was 96.
Great age,and really while sadness is with you now, later on I hope you realise that by living so long you had the added benefit of getting to know an important lady much better. We all have lost relatives we wish had lived longer, hope you have many fond memories to cherish.
Exactly how my 84 year old uncle went..he was sitting in the arm chair with a smile on his face watching TV when we were all visiting and one of us looked over and thought he had nodded off. Very peaceful.
