On thinking about it I'm rather glad the media, the new liberal Libyans and our politicians behaved as they did; it illustrates what the human species has really become and draws to one side the pretence of decency so many try to hide behind - until they cannot help themselves.

slowly the penny drops and bit by bit...those who are in some sort of authoritarian position begin to ask what happened.

The UN (whoever they are)and a UK government minister begin to ask questions about just how the Colonel died.

Meanwhile in Oz we are treated over and over to David Cameron's jolly press conference where he said how glad he was the 'dictator' was dead and said three very good things had happened for him that day...grinning away to the assembled media at No 10.

Attempted sodomy, torture, beatings, degradation,an answered phone call from Gadaffi's daughter saying 'old frizzy head is dead" (or something like that)slaps about the head and finally, a bullet to the head.

All jolly good fun.

Meanwhile Julia Gillard goes to a media room..leaving HM The Queen at a Parliament House reception for a minute..to inform what a glorious day it is and then returns to have a rubber chicken dinner with the Sovereign.

we really are just a bunch of savages but with better PR.

Another day, another post about this. How many times does the one point have to be made before someone gets a holier than thou medal? We're edging into that sage political philosopher Mick Jagger's territory in Sympathy for the Devil, where apparently 'me and you' killed the Kennedys (he still hasn't given himself up for it, the grizzled old reprobate - and they knighted him for it, the bastards). It's 'you should have gone to Specsavers' time for seriously sharp political insight. Now if you excuse me I'm off to berate the newsagent for killing a dictator without bringing any cake.

I think its also important to remember that we, as a Christian community are the biggest hypocrites in the world. Its quite frankly disgusting to witness the behaviour of our so called leaders, media etc.

We also lead the world in self-flagellation. We're absolutely brilliant at it.

I have noticed that not one Christian leader has come out and spoken against the manner of Gadaffi's death.

It's odd..even The Pope remonstrated with Saddam's capturers and urged that he be treated humanely.
