Re:I wonder if anyone else... 12 Years, 6 Months ago
I chocked on my hot chocolate as I first read that as old cocks. I have six. Old clocks that is. Including a long case Georgian -late 1700's. It's extremely valuable and has cost me a small fortune to upkeep, so I daren't touch it. It needs seeing to as it is currently four hours behind. But I have a man I keep meaning to call. Has been in my family for two hundred years, and I would never sell, as I am told the ghosts of my ancestors would plague me to the grave, and if they look anything like me that would be quite terrifying.

He must indeed be a remarkable bloke if he's been mending your clock for two hundred years. Isn't it about time you had him serviced too? Or at least gave him a long service medal? I'll tell you this, you must be a bastard of an employer if you don't think he deserves a rest by now.

He's only in his sixties. He calls my clock 'the old lady'. It's me that's two hundred years old.
