The Jury - don't get me started! 12 Years, 5 Months ago
All Jurors want, like the media and the legal system, is A GOOD STORY.

I remember, when I took the stand during my trial, I expected star billing and mass attendance. Oh no. Every single Press person had deserted the gallery. Even Jon Ronson, writing an article and making a TV show about it, had gone away. Not a flicker of interest from the jury. And I wasn't actually surprised. "I didn't do it" is SOOOO boring, even if it happens to be true. And how can you spice up I DIDN'T DO IT?

Now we have five days of The Jury on TV. I bet it's more exciting than the real thing. Most trials are dull, tedious, snore worthy.

The point of JUSTICE is to suffocate truth with pillows of waffle and turgid Archbold (Devil's disciple) references.

Good manners, arch politeness, silly clothes, yawns... bet The Jury won't reflect the reality of a trial.

Or say Bye Bye to viewers.

My solicitor is a great believer in juries,I was pessimistic myself, but after a quick unanimous acquittal I found myself agreeing with him.

At least you were famous enough to get press coverage for your trial,I could have had life imprisonment if guilty, but not even a hack's assistant turned up

As Tony Hancock once exclaimed: 'Doesn't Magna Carta mean anything to you? Did she die in vain?'

just finished watching a local one made during a trial...mind numbingly dull.

anyone who has sat at length through a trial will know most of it is intensley boring.

Another sap to the media who has convinced the armchair public they must 'see justice' being done

My view after Part One of the TV show - not good. Too slow, very obvious, far from captivated. But I'll watch Part Two and hope it gathers momentum.
