JK is correct about tabloid hacks 12 Years, 5 Months ago
I'm sure JK said in a thread he loathed them..if not he should have.

Yet another case of a person's life tuned upside down by these odious creatures.

Rumours of TV deal rock Bali boy's case

A 14 year old boy was arrested in Bali buying drugs (set up by corrupt Indonesian police who have ruined Bali)

Full on diplomatic moves behind the scenes were almost getting this kid released as 'drug dependent" therefore needing treatment back in Oz.

That was to be the lawful 'saving face" deal (all important in Asia..never let them 'lose face' and things can be acomplished).

Last Sunday Rupert Murdoch's gutter mafia run rag prints a story that the boy's family have an agent negotiating a $200,000 TV deal. The tale is repeated ad finitum and in Indonesian newspapers.

Indonesians would be lucky to get just $200 in a month. Imagine how it looks to them.
Today the prosecutor demands a 3 month sentence (for a joint) in a tough jail and the magistrate reserves his decision for another 2 weeks of agonising wait, the boy and his family all living in a squalid police cell.

I know the agent..he is not acting for the family..he simply answered a call from the reptile hack and replied to the question .."what would the boy's story be worth?". The agent is distraught but the damage is done.

No matter who gets crucified, who gets hurt......the majority of newspaper hacks are slime.
