I simply cannot understand how a great format (I'm A Celeb; X Factor) can be allowed to stagnate.

More of the same.

Not one original new ingredient.

Would you have ever done it JK? From what I've seen of it years ago, it looked like a load of old tosh to me then!

I've been watching them all..Oz , USA , UK..even the Ukraine (some wonderful singers there) and you are correct...'stagnate' is the right word...and once that happens it accelerates...especially I'm A Celeb..has been tired for 2 seasons

I only find it interesting when something goes wrong live. Ant and Dec are a very artificial double act who have only really been used to the TV studio and scripted 'banter,' so when something overruns or someone behaves unexpectedly, they suddenly look very anxious and rattled, in stark contrast to those older performers, like Forsyth, who know how to exploit such situations and clearly relish them when they happen. Mind you, this year I see the show has Freddie Starr, whom I have always found about as funny as a bout of gout, so I'll avoid the whole thing.

Ant and Dec are awful. Two very lucky lads in the "right place" at the "right time". Without an ounce of talent to wipe the noses of Forsyth, Monkhouse, can I even mention Leslie Crowther? Even Michael Barrymore when he was in his prime.
