Cricket commentator jumps 12 Years, 6 Months ago
www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/intern...mitting-suicide.html

Peter Roebuck..met him twice..distant sort of person but that's what happens when one must hide their sexuality in the 'macho' sport's world.

Just the questioning about 'sex assault' these days is enough for one to see their life flash before them..the headlines...the 'disgrace'...the media (especially when they turn on one of their own) implying guilt before trial...a few drinks and a rash decision to jump.
^^^^^^^^^^^

Batty NSW politician now wants to publish "sex offenders" details (for life) on net with address etc etc (for vigilantes?) and uses as an example a murderer recently released from jail pursued by the media.

Has named the law after the girl he murdered 30 years ago.

when a rang this nutbag's office last Thursday ..let him rant and rave for 10 minutes until I pointed out that the murderer wasn't convicted of sex assault (albeit his intention was to assault a boy but the girl got in his way) but murder so therefore he has named a bill after the wrong person and the murderer's details wouldn't be published on the net.

total silence and then.."I'll get back to you"...total ignoramus and these fuckwits end up in parliament !!..we are on the road to doom

What is it with cricketers? I think I'm right in saying the suicide rate for that sport is far higher than for any other. You'd have thought footballers would be the ones topping themselves after the anti-climax of ending their careers, but it seems cricket attracts the saturnine soul. David Frith - a good cricket journalist - even wrote a book about it a while back.

Justin Fashanu was the most famous victim football wise, but he committed suicide mainly due to the disgraceful attitudes in the sport towards his sexuality.

Amazing that a more "man's game" Rugby has a couple of individuals who have "come out"; even though I hate that expression I'd much prefer sexuality was kept to the bedroom. Or kitchen if you are into that sort of thing.

I knew Peter Roebuck was gay as did probably the cricketing world.

But he was an honourable man who put dozens of South African boys through school.

He was being questioned for the second time about an alleged assault on a 26 year old man.

The compo world and those who promote it..including the tabloids have so much blood on their hands.

They also cause sexual assaults to happen. While resources are used up in insanity cases like the Haut Garenne case there is none left for real cases.

I believe JK is right but I've been surprised by the number of people I know who think likewise...that man is on the road to total destruction.

We are led by idiots and timeservers..there are no true statesmen any more. They cater to the lowest common denominator and have no interest in raising ideals or standards...the fact they could take seriously moronic tabloid whose readers must be cretins to buy means they basically haven't got a clue.

It's just a matter of time before a nuclear war is unleashed.

This is the problem when you can arrest somebody without any real evidence!
