If the woman had been a black or Asian man or woman, this would not have made the press, nor had the British Transport Police go after her. There is an inverted racism here going on, ironically.

I don;t think 'inverted racism' is warranted in this sense..

I'm not concerned with the actual racist remarks....she appeared quite unhinhged to me and I felt rather sorry for her..especially if she really is filled with that much hate....her life must be a living hell in Britain today.

But she was certainly creating a public mischief by hurling insults loudly at various people..so much so that the black lad behind her leapt to his feet and it looked like there could be a physical confrontation until a white girl subdued him.

there is a real case her for to answer..using abusive language to inflame passengers in a claustrophobic situation like a moving tram or bus could have had dire results and that is the real offence. She was putting other passengers in danger,

thats said..i hope she is treated leniently.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before this argument came out, as it usually does.

'aaaah, but if a black, Asian, Muslim had said this, no one would have said anything'.

That's a lazy argument, and unfortunately a rather predictable one. Racism is racism, whoever voices it. And 'turning it around' comes scarily close to accepting it.

Not really. For example, Finsbury Park is full of anti white / anti Western rhetoric on a grand scale, yet nothing is ever done. It's more about the fact that TPTB don't want to start a race war and the press prefer it if white people are seen as the only racists, because that's acceptable to the editors and to political correctness - 'whiteys' are the only racists.

Oh agreed but I'll tell you this for a 'lazy argument', had the woman been any other colour no one would have known about it, the press would not have wanted to know.
