Many of us who have experienced prison life know that the "prison witness" who comes forward to say a "cellmate" or fellow inmate "admitted his guilt" is nearly always doing so for reward from either prison (nice percs) or police or CPS (drop other charges; lesser convictions). Criminals tend to lie and accept bribes.
Also - most who have served time with Michael Stone are convinced of his innocence.
Most also feel the Court of Appeal usually backs the CCRC (whether valid or not; it makes life easier).
Isn't society a wonderful thing? Who cares if innocent people languish in jail or die as long as "society" feels safe and justice is seen to be done.
Often allowing killers to roam free and kill again.

More recently he renewed his notoriety with a single-handed attack on Stormont.
