Entertainment USA 12 Years, 10 Months ago
I was wondering as I'm a night owl that Entertainment USA be good to show on something like PBS, Real or Yesterday at nighr. It may be dated but be nostalgic to loads and be a dream for most to look at America in it's former glory.

Shame JK don't own the rights least it he could release it on DVD or sell it to Network DVD who give great packaging and lots of extras for a budget price. How many episodes were made JK ?

how odd..I have an ABC producer friend here who used to produce pieces in Oz for ET...and I was around at her house last week researching some of her pieces.

On the whole they look rather dated (not that i would accuse JK of that) but it's fascinating how fashion and style changes so quickly..whilst never really being particularly new..just the packaging changes. .

If it was released on DVD Veritas would you buy it or watch it if it was on a graveyard shift ?

I've suggested it many times to the BBC Andrew - and reshowing No Limits too - both terrific nostalgia for old movies, hits and the faces and cities and fashions that have changed; the schedulers don't like ideas which might be cheap and get great ratings.

I would love to watch the show as presented (I was looking at segments..not the same)...it's show biz history like TOTP and says a lot about how we were back then.

But do the fickle young understand all this ???

The 80's have dated terribly so no-one can be blamed for that. Lots of ski boots, mullets and mustaches. I thought it was a brilliant series - as a kid in the 80's I remember the episode with the shop selling fur willy-warmers. I seem to recall that it was repeated on the BBC or UKGold before 2000 but I only caught one episode - the one with the fur willy warmers!

I know people in the 20's who would watch it remember JK interviewed some biggest hair metal bands back then. JK how did you find Kiss do you think they were big headed or laid back as my mate meet Paul Stanley and thought he was the biggest twat ever ?

eBay occasionally has the old BBC Video release of E-USA up for only a few quid.
I bought one there a few years ago and although the video has long gone, I have the DVD transfer still - I think it has a really amazing interview with Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly too.

I have them all on DVD (taped off air by my Mum on her BETAMAX machine - assumed, when I bought it for her, to be going to thrash VHS which it never did but far higher quality picture and sound). One day I may put them all up on You Tube.

I have ordered the VHS should come tomorrow can't wait to watch it. Put them on DVD and sell them on ebay or ioffer JK. I never found anything wrong with mullets and still don't I don't get why people hate them.

My Mum loved hers and I'm damn glad I bought it for her; the tapes are superb quality and have made top of the range DVDs.

I heard it was that the tapes were short and could not hold much so what they didn't sell is that true.

VHS simply had a better marketing team that beat Sony's lot to a pulp.
