How will you spend New Year Night? 12 Years, 4 Months ago
I will see the new year on Russian TV first, on honour of my Russian relatives, then I'll be with some friends by the Thames watching the fireworks and mingling.

I'm normally with my family in Ukraine, but this year will be local.

Agreed New Years Eve is just forced jolity. People are forced into pretending that the end of the year is great and we should all pay £10 to go into a pub that we wouldn't go into for free all year.

I will be standing at the gates of the house Bill Gates is renting on Sydney Harbour to see who arrives (and to see if Leo DiCaprio comes as he is a few doors down) and will then go to a friend's nearby apartment to watch the fireworks and then home as asap to cuddle my pussycat who will be freaked out by the noise.

angel and robbiex it's possible to enjoy New Year without booze ... I know a few older people who manage the task very well, and I'm still too young to get legless.

I got back home from the "party" just after 1am. The atmosphere around the river was cool, but I actually think my brother was disappointed that the fireworks didn't set Big Ben ablaze so I decided that we'd better call it a night to avoid causing a major incident.
