If the police had done their job properly in the first place Dobson and Norris would be looking at being released on parole by now.

Hopefully this will give the Lawrence family some closure now.

The whole thing stinks and not least this dodgy but convenient conviction.

The system is broken; has been broken for years; police are lazy or corrupt or incompetent; lawyers are slimy and bent; judges are tired, out of touch, indolent; juries are influenced (like everyone else) by the media; and all the media wants is "a good story".

But I don't worry too much. There are much bigger disasters due to happen very soon.

I was about 6 when this happened and all the evidence was there to convict them sooner I even remember a Cook Report special even then the evidence was all there to convict. Police make me sick that they had to this long for a retrial and even now the evidence is contaminated luckily not enough to put these smug bastards behind bars.

As for the hanging part,many called for that in 1974 over the Birmingham pub bombings...and we certainly have a similar example with police corruption and bad forensics....would you hang somebody on dodgy evidence?

It's simply my opinion that the human race is rapidly reaching the end of its existence - I think this year will see more natural disasters, more insanity, more collapse of decency, more economic madness and all the tragic consequences that come when a species goes into melt down.

I have absolutely no idea if this lot is guilty or innocent...I certainly don't believe much of the DM beat-ups and some of the stuff is ludicrous...I mean 'Fed Perry" and 'Lacoste' designer clothes?? give me a break.

that aside..they seem like a ghastly rum lot and for the life of me I cannot understand racism...yet I have at least 2 UK friends who hate black people...I find that just so weird and bizarre when the world is full of fascinating people and the exciting thing is that most of them aren't like me!!!

However JK is right..part of the natural order is probably for this race of humans on the planet to become extinct and my NASA friend said The Sun will come closer to the Earth in a million years so it's doomed anyway.

It's been happening for years JK look at 1980's. I watched the Panorama special last night about the case and reporter said to youths of blacks and said the Police think you should join the force. I was not sure what to think at that statement but I haven't never seen a black copper.

No ... but I don't believe the evidence is dodgy anyway (the defence have tried to make that case - as they had nothing else at all !)

It was a desperate ploy - and the Jury saw through it.

possibly they do in their own small way if they contribute in the minutest way to the fostering of racism.
