Russian Christmas Eve 12 Years, 4 Months ago  
We had a "Holy Supper" tonight in honour of my Russian relatives.

Mushroom soup
Baked fish with seasoned kidney beans, peas and potatoes
Bobalki (biscuits with honey) plus oranges, figs, dates and nuts.

Our smaller Christmas Tree stays up until the 10th also.

(One of my grandfathers was Russia.)

We have the Russian Christmas service (via Russia Today) on one room. It goes on all night, but I ducked out after less than an hour. No good songs.

At least the "Old New Year" is on a Saturday (14th), but we don't do much for it here .. only a long routine phone call with one of my Aunts.

I love these old traditions tho ..

ps .. The live feed if the service has stopped now.
