Ken rejected secret service advances... 12 Years, 3 Months ago
...allegedly at the Café Whim in Cambridge - well at least according to the autobiography! I wonder, what could our secret services possibly find out from clandestine meetings with young males on the other side of the pond? After all, we all know how young pop music fans have unimpeachable knowledge about things like missile site locations and senior politicians' secrets! Pull the other one Ken!!!

The Whim was indeed a place where students got sounded out for MI5 or 6, as well as, ahem, quite a few other things.

no idea if they infiltrated Cafe Whim but it seems very believable that secret services would wish to recruit potential show biz types (Hollywood ?)..they thought John Lennon was a dangerous radical.

JK would make a superb spy..having moved freely amongst wide circles in the US & UK.

For all we know he's still in deep cover.

Maybe the trial and subsequent prison sentence were all an elaborate smokescreen for going deep undercover inside the prison system.
