My brand new Sony massive HD/3D TV set... 12 Years, 3 Months ago
I've been determined to buy a new one but wanted to wait until sale time - it's terrific, huge, loud, bright, slim and modern.
And was half price - with a free Blue Ray/DVD player and several free movies.

But why on earth would anyone want to watch something called The Green Hornet?

Oh, that's wonderful Kenneth! I do hope this means that the next King musical will be shot in full HD 3d.

But don't the 3D glasses feel a bit uncomfortable worn over those huge goggles you wear?

Actually both my films ARE in HD (I'll leave 3D to the wonderful Martin Scorsese).

As for Goggles - there's a whole other story!

I'll eagerly await your report on 3D at home. Just got a small camera that shoots 3D.

The glasses really get on my nerves after a while at the cinema..but I love the experience of going to a cinema for 3D...especially as I book those special expensive seats as befits a person of my class...away from the trash and ITK types.

IMAX is even better..especially in 3D

My Dad Bought a 52 inch 3D TV and I'm not impressed with 3D it's good for sport and some live gigs with films I have to take frequent breaks and get minor headaches. The World Series is supposed to be in 3D on ESPN this year be good if it's true. My favourite team is Chicago Cubs do you think they could win it this year JK ?

Green Hornet just another OTT Marvel movie pure cheese and full of continuity errors.

I can't see them selling millions of TV sets it's only targeted to a small minority some, people hate HD.

I just looked at a 46" 3D Samsung today at a very suspicious price of approx 500 pounds with a Blueray 3D DVD player thrown in.

It makes me think either the economy is about to go belly-up or some new technology is coming.

I'm still not sure about whether I would watch much 3d at home.

I still like the theatre experience..in the expensive seats of course. No peasants nearby chattering.

I did have a headache after Alice in Wonderland..all that concentration.

That screen would be far too big for me. Sounds nice though. My problem with blu-ray players is that you can't make them region free, and I get quite a few disks from the US.

There will be more BluRay 3D but there is not much 3D on Sky or Virgin. Avatar was the same to me in 2D it's simply tripe James Cameron finally admitted he took the story from Dances with Wolfs, even even thou he was adamant at first it was a original idea, you don't fool movie buffs like me.

Hollywood you can fuck your bad remakes they are pointless all you do is add CGI and film in 3D Journey To The Centre Of The Earth 1959, was the dog's bollocks there will only be one James Mason no improvement needed. I love stop motion it was more sophisticated more time was needed and careful planning, no lets all sit behind a Mac and do out of sync monsters instead.

Ben Hur is truly magnificent on Blu Ray. Anything by Disney or Pixar will also show off your system nicely but annoyingly "Finding Nemo" isnt out until October. "Sound Of Music" is also worth a look. "Black Narcissus" and "Red Shoes" are also wonderful restorations on Blu Ray.
