Chris Huhne - guilty unless he can prove himself innocent 12 Years, 3 Months ago
Good old British Justice - media controlled (like everything else)... it's a great story... who cares about individuals - or the good of society.

It should probably be a case of "her word against his" which, these days, is evidence.

And, of course, material from the media will be produced.

Let's not prejudge this either way. We haven't seen the "evidence".

But it might be worth predicting that he will be treated as though he is guilty by everyone involved.

The media keeps referring to "very serious charges".

Am I alone in thinking - if guilty - he's simply done what a lot of people have done or would do?

I really think anyone who has ever done 31 MPH in a 30 MPH zone should be serving 7 years in prison.

Hubris should be his middle name. I couldn't give a damn about this supremely arrogant career politician who always behaves as if he is president of the world. And if anyone will wriggle out of such a charge, he certainly will, so I doubt he deserves much anxious support from anyone.

As a tax payer I'd prefer the Government to spend the several hundred thousand prosecuting him in renovating a local hospital.

But then I'm odd.

Ah... "pot" Pru... and anyone who ever smoked POT should serve 7 years in prison too.

I reckon we could lock almost everyone up with just a few of these "very serious charges".

There appears to be some kind of agenda on public figures right now? Or perhaps just coincidence? I predict the Queen will be in handcuffs by Monday morning.

(My predictions are usually always wrong)

the case is simialr to Justice Einfield in Oz who got 3 years for claiming a dead woman was driving.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Einfeld

It was very sad as you are correct...he did what tens of thousands of others did..but as usual..an example must be made.

A very nice man, very humane..did great works etc etc.

At least he spent his time in the clink healping other prisoners prepare their appeals.

The police versus the most ruthless and power-hungry Cabinet Minister around. It's a bit like watching two jungle creatures try to eat each other: unpleasant without any sense that one is more deserving of my sympathy than the other.

Don't forget the woman in the middle - perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the entire drama.

I guess she never thought the 'woman scorned' act would come back to bite her.

will they never learn ?..dealing with the media is stepping into a viper's nest.
