This is what gets me about British sport ..... all hype / expectation ..... but the reality is just a damp squib! !!!

Rather like Harold and Albert Steptoe I often stand and salute when they close down the BBC at night and play the National Anthem...even sometimes tipping up my plate of late night crackers and cheese...

Oh...I forgot the beeb don't close down anymore do they?

C'mon you Brits!!

Britain will fail at the games we only good at sports that no country does as a pasttime like rowing. If we lose at least the hype fades away but we left with a white elephant again in London.

I'm not criticising him, angel ... just the people who put him on a pedestal insisting he is our "salvation" at the Games (when he can only finish 7th at the trial runs !)
