There are no personal or financial details held and anyone who doesn't log on can see everything anyway.

The reason Robbie is Spam. The problem with so many sites these days is that Spam can overwhelm all the boardkeepers and load up the forums with rubbish. By approving posts we can keep them off the forums but still they bombard us with spam we have to delete.

Captcha keeps it away.

At least the captcha on this site is pretty clear. On some sights it's like taking part in one of those ink blot psychological tests!

Still can't log in. I assume RoD's problems are related?

I don't think they are connected; at the moment people are simply logging in via the Captcha - and it's working getting rid of the spammers. Please try that Dixie.

David - I find it fine (one or two refreshes and it's clear). And at least we don't have to dispose of spam all day long anymore. One of our US boardkeepers had to delete 244 messages in an hour!

Are you sure you're working the Captcha right? It seems OK for me though sometimes takes a couple of changes to the Captcha image.

Thing is, i've never even seen captcha on here before, and until a couple of days ago just entered my username and password and I was in. Since then I've been having the 'refused by anti spamming system (securityimages)' message.

This time I thought I'd see if requesting a new password helped- captcha appeared and apparently worked as I was sent a new password, but still the same old message.

Oh well, I'll just carry on like this I suppose

We're still tweaking Pru; the Captcha should keep you logged in but I find tends to log you out very rapidly.

But we have at least blocked out the spam. We were getting hundreds an hour.

I just tried using the Captcha thingy and it let me through first time.

There are hackers about - they're redirecting lots of sites to something called nazi banksters' crimes ripple effect. Several sites I know have been plagued by it. All seems self-defeating to me.
