How alike they all are !
It could be six photos of the same person

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17295858

Same cap, same uniform, same angle of shot, same flag in rear, same expression.

No doubt they are also taught how to think, and how to act too ?

How de-humanising ... and how sad.

We didn't lose six people .... we lost 6 "units".

I'm still trying to work out how they died' for us all'! As has been told by a string of MP's on the TV and radio since the news broke. Oh and of course their 'thoughts' are with the families!!

Don't forget, FC ... they are all "heros"

My fave is "we will never forget them" - but I doubt anyone will even remember their names in 2/3 days time.

Well said ITK no one asked them to sign up to the Army, if I went to battle I would accept being maimed or blown up it's what wars do not rocket science. I say it again only WW1 or WW2 vets should be remembered as the government forced to join.

Indeed they will be forgotten by us and the politicians who sent them to die.

It's a terrible thing but really, what do those who join the armed forces expect?

The army or the dole?
Easy to forget that sometimes the choices are limited.
RIP,it's not an easy job being in a warzone for a long time,I tried it with the Ukrainian troops in Iraq back in 2004.Easy to talk about it here, but it takes real guts to live in constant fear for sometimes years at a time.

Strangely, the Pete Seeger song "Little Boxes" keeps going through my mind ....

Little Boxes, Little Boxes
and they're all made out of ticky-tacky
and they all look just the same
