Leveson Weds - off the record briefings... 12 Years, 1 Month ago

"It leads to big misunderstandings"... says Sandra Laville of the Guardian on Leveson.

Just like police officers earlier this week, she slips away from the topic... this is the crucial area of relationship between media and police and the Leveson lawyers are significantly failing to go into it too deeply.

I think you are right.

the police outrageously use the media to beat up and exagerate charges and make it difficult for the accused to defend themselves.

the media never investigates any more..they simply print what they are told. The pressure then put on defending lawyers is immense..and they can never speak to the media (they do in the USA )
