I've always liked Simon Anstell; he's very cute and quite funny - this new series had some wonderful bits in it and some other moments that don't quite work yet.

There's an element of Gervais - that cringe aspect - but a bit more subtle. And, of course, I was predictably delighted he touched on the "age of consent" issue in an amusing way. If you haven't seen it, it's worth an iPlayer look. One line made me laugh out loud, his response to the ghastly Clive asking him about his previous night's sex.

Loved him chairing Buzzcocks but found this a bit hard to watch. As you say, the slight cringe factor. Ah i'm such a sensitive soul! Lol

Never liked him on Buzzcocks, always acted like an arrogant bastard, insulting all the guests. Ironically he always clams up when anyone mentions his homosexuality. He can give it out but can't take it.
