The easy way out of the horrendous problem of society is "get Rupert". Not only is that stupid and unfair, but it also avoids all the dangerous aspects (such as police, CPS and judicial corruption and/or laziness) that are the real problems we suffer.

And by choosing a scapegoat the Select Committee (and Leveson - and Cameron) will manage to allow the real villains to escape justice - which will mean more miscarriages of justice.

The problem with Murdoch is that for decades people (read governments) feared him and his underlings. Now people no longer fear him and see Murdoch for what he is, a rather old, rather puzzled and confused, man, no longer the powerhouse who 'could bring down governments'.

And like all cowards - they go for the bully when he's injured. Which is nature (more animal than human). But what I worry about is... it's a nice, simple, easy way to persuade people the problem is solved. Which it's not.
