more "grooming" arrests in Rochdale 11 Years, 12 Months ago
A second sexual grooming case has been uncovered in Rochdale, it has been reported.

Several men have been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a teenage girl over a a six-year period, the Manchester Evening News has reported.

It follows the conviction of nine men from Rochdale and Oldham who were jailed for running a child sexual exploitation ring.

The men had targeted vulnerable girls as young as 13.

During the trial, five girls gave evidence, but police believe there may have been up to 47 victims.

Disgracefull and no doubt people will be coming out and saying that it is the young girls fault even though they were threatened with violence to have sex. Deportation should be on the agenda.

I don't think any details have been released of this new case so I don't know how you can claim that they were threatened with violence. Furthermore, I don't think it has been stated either that the men in this new case are foreign born - and if they're not, deportation would not even begin to be on the agenda unless you are a BNP supporter.

I certainly didn't say regarding the prior case that 'it was the girls' fault', and if the men did threaten those girls then they should have gotten life.

A rational response for a 15 year old girl caught by her parents or by the police selling sex to Asian men would be to claim that she had been 'groomed' and raped. I'm not saying that this is what happened, but all the Asian men denied making threats and claimed that the girls were more than willing. The court apparently found otherwise, but it was their word against the girls (although threats or not, they would still have been guilty of 'grooming' and sex with children).

Well spotted ITK.
Easy to forget that this is a cultural thing.By the very nature of Islamic society these kind of events are bound to show up when they live in a western country. But on the other hand there are positive elements like they look after their elderly much better.
Do we really need to play the race card? Yes report them, take legal action?
These things will show up more and more,we just need to deal with them in the proper way.

Is it really "playing the race card" by facing reality ?

When its absolutely clear that this particular crime is carried out (for whatever reason) by one particular segment of society, don't you think it rather foolish not to look at that society more closely?

Yes of course ITK we do need to look closely whenever there can be potential problems.I just hope it doesn't end up causing a racist backlash.
Grooming is not of course confined to just asians, but this particular type of crime will be more likely committed by them.

A "small minority" of Pakistani men see white girls as "fair game", Baroness Warsi has said.

It is important to "speak out" and acknowledge the problem in order to tackle it, she added.

Lady Warsi, the daughter of Pakistani immigrants, is co-chair of the Conservative party.
