Police who are either lazy, incompetent or corrupt. Media whose only concern is "Is it a good story?". Judiciary influenced by the tabloids. Politicians governing with simplistic slogans and headline morality.

Result? An 18 year old spends 7 years locked up for a crime he didn't commit.

Better than me - I was locked up for crimes that never took place.

No evidence, no proof, one person's (coached) word against another's with loads of compensation, media fees and sympathy encouraging them to exaggerate.

And there are hundreds of other victims. Believe me. Several prison officers said to me "when we started this job, the joke was that everyone claimed to be innocent. After a few years I'm convinced many of them really are".

Great society we've got going, innit?

It's what LEVESON should be looking at. The police use and abuse the media (which happily goes along with "the good story") in order to get convictions and justify their budgets; they don't give a fuck whether the convictions are true or wrong - and the judiciary plays a major part too; Judges LOVE those headlines praising them for being strict.

Wankers the lot of them.

I've had to wait for online evidence of this story ... because if I had just posted the details you would have thought I had gone mad !

I reported months ago that North Yorks Chief Constable had been sacked for gross misconduct ... well it appears that he did not leave his job immediately (as we would, apparently, have still had to pay him) !

He left on tuesday having filled his contract, with nearly £250,000 "pay off" as compensation for not having his contract re-newed !!!

Didn't notice any banners being waved in front of Mrs May to that effect. In fact if we cut 20% of incompetents......
