Funny Post on that link ITK.This is just pure nonsense.
It may not be as far fetched as it seems !
We already know - as a matter of fact - that TWO of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon relatives were so loopy that they were incarcerated for over 60 years.
Katherine Bowes-Lyon and Nerissa Jane Irene Bowes-Lyon were the daughters of the Honourable John Herbert Bowes-Lyon, the Queen-Mother's brother.
In 1941, at the ages of 22 and 15 respectively, the girls were locked away in the Royal Earlswood Hospital in Surrey. Both girls arrived unable to speak and had only reached the mental age of six; however, no one apparently attempted to train them.
Not only did the Royals never visit them but they attempted to have them eradicated from history - Burke's Peerage said both had died when they were in fact still alive !
(Prince John, the son of George V, who was an epileptic, was similarly hidden from public view. and died aged 13 alone in a house hidden away on the Sandringham estate).
Katherine and Nerissa also had three first cousins, who were also institutionalized: Idonea, Etheldreda, and Rosemary Fane.
Ironically, the Queen Mother was patron of Mencap, the Royal Society for mentally handicapped children and adults LOL !!!!!
If there were (at least) 2 loonies in the family - why not also a third ?
Enter - The Monster of Glamis ! (*) -
blogs.smithsonianmag.com/history/2012/02/the-monster-of-glamis/
(*)Glamis Castle is the Bowes-Lyon family seat - Princess Margaret was born there).
Of course, the family now say its just a legend (well, they would, wouldn't they).
The story explains alot though ....
It explains why there is so much confusion as to when and where Elizabeth was born.
It explains why she had the French name Marguerite - her real mother's name ! - as one of her middle names.
It explains why she got so upset when referred to as "cookie" (and why she was given that name)
It explains why Elizabeth hated King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson so much.
It explains why she (and Lord Beaverbrook) conspired with the Archbishop of Canterbury (as revealed by Channel Four only last month) to "out" the King and usurp his throne.
