TOPIC: Happy Birthday Philip

Happy Birthday Philip 11 Years, 11 Months ago
91! I think you're fantastic; the Queen has been marvellous and you've been her rock; I love your random non PC comments; I thoroughly approve of our Royal Family and wish they were running the country instead of the wanky politicians that the brain dead majority "elect" on image alone.

It's tomorrow actually, but I agree with you JK.
The real responsibility for the country - not the state of it - stays with the monarchy. The Queen has a full time job handling world affairs, treaties, etc, beyond what the politicians do. They keep changing policies and personnel. The Queen remain constant and it is her dependability and reliability that keeps Britain strong.
Some refuse to acknowledge that, but it's a fact regardless - and Prince Philip performs a role.

Not done bad for someone born on a kitchen table, who had to be smuggled out of his own country in a washing basket of clothes !

I don't think the Royal Family should be running the country the Jubilee cost billions and which could be used for much needed services it be more tax payers money for their own benefit and nothing for the public.

2012 is one expensive year for England I wonder how long it take for us to recover from it, but still Tories are still cutting public services.
