The Fallen Idol 11 Years, 11 Months ago

One of the alltime great movies (Ralph Richardson superb in it) but now I've read the short story which is twice as good; far more honest and subtle and clever.

Graham Greene was great and when he combined with Carol Reed (who he clearly regarded as a genius) the results were awe inspiring. But you must read this gem of a tale.
