Sex at Six 17 Years, 8 Months ago
No, it's not an invite

It's an extremely catchy track from U.S band
The Profits

Take a listen to 'Sex At Six' at their Myspace site:

an interesting reaction to the title. 17 Years, 8 Months ago
My first assumption was that it refers to sex at a certain time - 6am or 6pm. My friend, who curiously enough is a police officer, automatically assumed it meant at the age of six and thought it a bit dodgy.

The job must corrupt the brain.

I was right of course.

The song is pretty cool, although I'm not sure it's destined for greatness.

Yeah i's referring to 6am as the lyrics are...

WELL I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING AND THE SUN WILL START TO SHINE...

chorus then goes.. I LIKE SEX AT SIX IN THE MORNING

I see where you're coming from though with the sex at six years old theory.

Indeed it's referring to 6am 17 Years, 8 Months ago
NOT 6 years old!
One listen and it's clear it refers to sex at at 6 o'clock.

Reminds me of an old Lulu hit ...... 17 Years, 8 Months ago
not this track ... but the way the title can be misunderstood.

In the 60's Lulu released (or promoed) a track called "Everybody's Got To Clap", which was an uptempo number but sounded very much like she was singing "Everybody's Got Clap" !

I don;t think it got a full release !!!!!!!!!

I would strongly advise anyone.. 17 Years, 8 Months ago
NOT to use the word SEX in their song. Radio, TV, Press, the world, are still very very scared of it.

Don't know what to think of that. It's done Justin Timberlake and George Michael no harm. And who remembers the gasp when they realised that Prince really was singing "Sexy Motherfucker" in his single of years back?

Besides, remember the fuss when Frankie Goes to Hollywood didn't use the word "sex"? Remember the whole debate about what "Relax" was really about?

Who cares what radio might say. If it's a strong track, they will end up playing it anyway.

I agree JK,
The Americans always seem to have better production than European acts.
I think 'Sex At Six' is a great track!
The band and their lead singer, John Paul Roney (who is the song writer) are available for both publishing and label deals world-wide.
Stay tuned

Looks like a Youtuber has jumped on the bandwagon of creating videos for tracks:

See the one for 'Sex at Six'

Poor video

The track could be great with a well produced video!
